I Enjoy The Challenges Date: 2/8/2007 12:00:00 AM

Many things are going on, but I enjoy the challenges. Now is a time for me to get things done, so I can be ready for the opportunities that summer will bring. Things I’ve never imagined most likely. Last summer, we (The Jefferson Jay Band) opened for Steely Dan and I made my FM radio debut, both with audiences in the thousands. I never could have imagined either of those would happen a year ago right now.

Now I live alone by the beach, actually with Angel, my puppy. I can smell the ocean and watch the waves. They’re only a few steps away. February is always a mountain I need to climb. Embracing the elements, I intend to charge up the incline. I hope to finish the large majority of my script and my thesis this month, in addition to completing the recording of vocals and guitars on my upcoming three CDs. Other ideas pop into my brain all the time. Some I try to follow up on, my non-profit organization. Others, I jot down for another lifetime.

I teach school, give guitar lessons, host my open mic (Tuesdays at Portugalia), practice with the band, much more. There is a lot to do. As a matter of fact, I think I’m going to go do stuff right now. Peace
